Nothing in life is black and white. Shades of gray won’t do either when it comes to the creative visionaries behind the recently opened Pantone Hotel in Brussels. Our friends at Zink Magazine offered up this to say about the newest venture from Pantone Universe, the experts on color:
Art and design have interchangeably taken a colorful leap to change the way we luxuriate in our hotel experiences.
A work of art in itself, the Pantone Universe has opened up a hotel in Brussels, Belgium that lives up to its reputation of design and color. Pantone Hotel is yet another chic addition to Avenue Louise, the glamourous shopping and business district that is now a muse for modern-day designers. Never before has a hotel been designed to serve as a place to stimulate the minds and bodies of their guests. Lying in the heart of a city famous for its artistic history, the Pantone Hotel provides a perfect backdrop for an area packed so tightly with creativity and innovation.
Through a licensing partnership with British developers, the Pantone Hotel was created as a part of the Pantone Universe, an ever expanding line of colorful, designer-inspired products for consumers. The hotel combines colorful design aesthetic with well-appointed guest rooms to create a truly unique experience. Designed by Belgian interior designer Michel Penneman and Belgian architect Olivier Hannaert, each room is a work of art, as the white walls and bedding provide a crisp canvas for saturated pops of vibrant color. Adding to the artistry, every room of the hotel contains photographic installations created by acclaimed Belgian photographer Victor Levy that include a spectrum of Pantone colors to create a unique ambiance in each room.
